Some of these features are web based ftp file manager, up to 10 ftp users with separate directories, and a DNS management system to name a few. They also have a member operations center that is solely their design that is their user control panel. This combines all of the necessary tabs for a client to take care of any matters dealing with their site.  They are able to track history of their site, The operations center allow a user to submit questions to tech support, but unfortunately at time they are unable to resolve the issue and the user is left to find other avenues to correct the problem they are facing. They also offer a rate of $7.77 per month, which is prepaid annually, and this plan includes 650 email addresses, 400 GB of file transfer per month, and 20,000 mb of storage for your sites. This rate falls within the moderate price range for online hosting service, even though they do offer discounts to get customers from other sites to switch over.

Unlimited web domain hosting.

As with other webhosting providers Powweb also provides an unlimited hosting of your websites. This in turn allows you to manage all your sites with just one general account. Even though they offer an unlimited number of sites and bandwidth to use, one of the drawbacks is the fact they do limit how many files that can be stored on the site. Even though this limit if fairly high is it unusual to have this limit placed on a user.

Service and Support.

They offer a few ways to gain technical support; they have live chat, email and a 1-800 number which has limited hours of service.  They do have online tutorials which is very beneficial to people who are new to web hosting.  One nice thing they do give someone that is having some technical issues is custom errors pages to spruce up the site when some of their pages or whole site is down. Their online forum is where most of their email questions get answered; this also includes any negative email responds being available for people to see.  They do have on occasion more downtime then some of their competitors.  This does show negatively against them compared to the uptime percentages and quality of customer support. For someone who is new to site build Powweb hosting might not be the best choice to start with but as you advance your skill level some of their extra features might be a very tempting thing to go with even with the technical support issue that they have at times.

Powweb hosting does support several of the popular programs that webmasters use. These include FrontPage, PHP4, Perl5, Sendmail CGI-BIN, MySQL databases and phpmyadmin databases to name just a few. This is very beneficial for everyone’s skill level, regardless if they are a novice or an advanced webmaster. For the advanced user though with the problems with their customer service, it is no problem to fix any problems they have with their files since they are a lot more familiar with the programs.
